On November 30th, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Tanzania, visited the Sino-Tan Industrial Park. She toured the facilities of the companies located in the park to gain insights into their operations and preparations for President Hassan's attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony for the inaugural phase of the industrial park.
The Minister of Industry and Trade of Tanzania was received by Zhang Qingguan, the Manager of the Investment Promotion Department, and Mr. Barry, the Manager of the Public Relations Department, at the Sino-Tan Industrial Park. They provided a detailed presentation on the current progress of the industrial park's construction and the status of enterprise establishments.
The Sino-Tan Industrial Park has currently signed agreements with 6 companies, with 2 already in the stage of equipment debugging and trial production, and 4 companies planning the construction of their factories. It is expected that by the end of 2024, 50 enterprises will have settled in and commenced production.
Zhang Qingguan, the Investment Promotion Manager of the Sino-Tan Industrial Park, led Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, the Minister of Industry and Trade, on a tour of the Lu Ban Workshop, the garment factory, and the cosmetics enterprise workshop. During the inspection, Minister Kijaji gained in-depth insights into the advanced equipment, production processes, and market positioning of the resident companies.
Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, the Minister of Industry and Trade, expressed full appreciation for the garment production enterprises, emphasizing that this is a labor-intensive industry that can rapidly increase Tanzania's employment rate. She also encouraged the products to actively expand to other African countries while meeting the needs of the local market, creating more opportunities for Tanzania's GDP.
During the visit to the cosmetics manufacturing enterprise workshop, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, the Minister of Industry and Trade, expressed great confidence in the enterprise's advanced production equipment and the market for cosmetic products. She stated, "This is the first local fashion cosmetics production enterprise in Tanzania, and your products will soon gain promotion and returns in the African market."
After visiting the enterprises in the industrial park, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, the Minister of Industry and Trade, expressed appreciation for the development, construction, and investment operation of Phase I of the Sino-Tan Industrial Park. She conveyed the full support of the Tanzanian government for the development of the industrial park. The minister mentioned Tanzania's continuous efforts to improve the business environment, simplify approval processes, and reduce investment barriers to attract more international investments. She also warmly welcomed the delegation of Chinese business representatives.
Dr. Ashatu Kijaji's visit has not only injected new development momentum into the Sino-Tan Industrial Park but has also built a more solid bridge for industrial cooperation between the two countries. Sino-Tan Industrial park will continue to intensify development, construction, and investment efforts in preparation for President Hassan's attendance at the opening ceremony of the first phase of the industrial park.
