On July 16, 2024, Tanzania's newly appointed Minister of Industry and Trade, Suleiman Jafo, visited the SINO-TAN Industrial Park for an on-site inspection. He was accompanied by leaders from various levels, including those from Pwani Region and Kibaha District. The Chairman of SINO-TAN Industrial Park, Mr. Huang Zaisheng, along with the company's management team, warmly welcomed the minister and his delegation.
During the visit, Minister Suleiman Jafo first went to the park's one-stop service center, where he attentively listened to Mr. Huang Zaisheng's detailed introduction of the industrial park. Mr. Huang provided an in-depth overview of the construction progress, current operational status, and future development plans of the SINO-TAN Industrial Park, highlighting various issues and challenges faced by the park. In response, Minister Suleiman Jafo conducted on-site consultations, coordinating with relevant departments to promptly address some key issues, demonstrating his pragmatic and efficient work style.
Following this, the minister and his delegation toured several enterprises within the park, visiting production workshops to understand their production processes and technological applications. They engaged in discussions with company representatives, gathering their opinions and suggestions on the industrial park and government policies.
After the tour, Minister Suleiman Jafo remarked, "The SINO-TAN Industrial Park is a model of friendly cooperation between China and Tanzania, playing a crucial role in promoting Tanzania's industrialization process. This inspection has deeply impressed me with the park's significant role in driving local economic development. We will continue to support the development of the industrial park, resolve its challenges, optimize the investment environment, and attract more international investments."
Mr. Huang Zaisheng expressed his gratitude for the visit and support from the minister and other leaders. He stated that the SINO-TAN Industrial Park will continue to enhance its overall competitiveness, attract more enterprises to settle in, and contribute to Tanzania's economic development, furthering the cooperation between China and Tanzania.
