On November 16, the unveiling ceremony of the Luban Workshop, a collaboration between Chongqing Institute of Engineering, Ardhi University, and Group Six International LTD, took place at the Sino-Tan Industrial Park in Tanzania. A delegation from the Shandong Linyi Building Materials Industry Association and representatives of prospective enterprises in the park witnessed this grand event.

Following the unveiling ceremony of the Tanzania Luban Workshop in Dar es Salaam Ardhi University on November 15, the Sino-Tan Industrial Park witnessed the inauguration of the Luban Workshop on November 16. Mr. Huang Zaisheng, Chairman of the Sino-Tan Industrial Park, delivered a welcoming speech at the unveiling ceremony. He expressed gratitude to the Tanzanian Ministry of Science and Education for their recognition of this initiative and acknowledged the presence of Mr. Yi Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Engineering Vocational and Technical College, and the Assistant President of  Ardhi University, as well as representatives from various enterprises.

Chairman Huang Zaisheng mentioned that today marks an important day for the Sino-Tan Industrial Park as it welcomes the unveiling of the Tanzania Luban Workshop. He extended his appreciation to the Tanzanian Ministry of Science and Education for their recognition and thanked Mr. Yi Jun, Mr. Assistant President of  Ardhi University, and representatives from enterprises for attending the event. Chairman Huang Zaisheng highlighted the significance of this initiative in implementing President Xi Jinping's key points on supporting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, specifically emphasizing practical cooperation through initiatives like the Luban Workshop to promote Sino-foreign vocational education collaboration.

Currently, the Tanzania Luban Workshop is jointly established by Chongqing Engineering Vocational and Technical College, Ardhi University, and Group Six International LTD. It consists of Ardhi  University's on-site training base and the Sino-Tan Industrial Park's off-site training base. The off-site training base in the Sino-Tan Industrial Park covers an area of 1,000 square meters, including classrooms, meeting rooms, and training rooms. As an integral part of the Luban Workshop, the off-site training base at the Sino-Tan Industrial Park will focus on providing internships and practical training for Luban Workshop students in disciplines such as architectural engineering technology, road and bridge engineering technology. It will also conduct technical services and training activities for non-degree students.

Yi Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Engineering Vocational and Technical College, spoke at the unveiling ceremony, saying, "In recent years, our school has actively responded to President Xi Jinping's major initiative to jointly build the Belt and Road, vigorously promoting international cooperation in vocational education. By leveraging our school as the core Chinese vocational institution (C), along with the collaboration of Chinese and foreign enterprises (E) and foreign vocational institutions (C), we have jointly created an international community for talent development and innovated the 'CEC' international cooperative education model. The Tanzania Luban Workshop is an important carrier and platform for our school to carry out the 'CEC' international cooperative education. After years of joint efforts from all parties involved in the construction, today the Tanzania Luban Workshop has officially passed the acceptance inspection by the Tanzanian Ministry of Education and is now operational. This not only fully affirms the achievements of our many years of construction efforts but also inspires and encourages us to continue to deepen the construction of the Luban Workshop in the next phase."

After the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Huang Zaisheng, Chairman of  Sino-Tan Industrial Park, led a group to visit the Luban Workshop Training Base located in the park. From the historical origins and development process of the Tanzanian Luban Workshop to the achievements made today, Mr. Huang Zaisheng explained to the guests present at the training base.

Since the joint construction began, under the framework of the Luban Workshop, the school has collaborated with various partners on projects such as "Future Africa," "Chinese Bridge," and the "Silk Road Project." Together, they have formed a "Chinese teacher + foreign professional teacher + Chinese-funded enterprise mentor" dual-teacher international mixed teaching team. They have jointly organized training for Tanzanian construction mid-to-senior management personnel, developed international professional course standards and industry job standards, collaboratively educated civil engineering degree students, and had the standards for civil engineering technicians officially certified by the Tanzanian Vocational Education Committee, formally incorporating them into the national vocational education system. This effort has contributed to the training of a large number of technical and skilled talents in Tanzania.

After the event, representatives from the Sino-Tan Industrial Park, Chongqing Engineering Vocational Technical College, Ardhi University, and representatives of prospective enterprises intending to enter the park gathered at the main gate of the Sino-Tan Industrial Park for a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
